Established in 2018, Silver Banksia Nursery is a family owned and operated wholesale native plant nursery based in the coastal town of Margate, 20 minutes from the Hobart CBD.
At SBN we are passionate about growing native Australian plants and take pride in providing high quality tubestock tailored for your specific project.
The nursery was established in response to an increase in demand for quality wholesale native plant tubestock. A small range of larger pot sizes are also produced and more advanced specimens can be grown on request.
Nursery owner and horticulturalist Jonathan Esling has over a decade of experience propagating Australian native plants, with a particular interest in Tasmania's unique and varied flora.
The nursery has supplied plants for large scale commercial developments and revegetation projects through to smaller community and school based projects. We are also actively involved in several conservation programs working on threatened species from around Australia and internationally.
